Some DIYs — like refinishing an entire piece of furniture or adding new legs — are pretty involved. But there is one way you can completely transform your furniture that will hardly take any time at all.

How to do it? Just add new hardware. All you need is a screwdriver, a few minutes, and you have a whole new look. Case in point: this dresser spotted on Anthropologie, which was transformed thanks to some especially eye-catching geode drawer pulls. (If you’re interested in making your own, there’s a DIY here.)

Those crazy drawer handles (made from wooden beads strung onto a cord) turn this average dresser from Dos Family into something totally out of the ordinary.

These even crazier drawer handles, spotted on At Home in Love, prove that pretty much anything can be turned into cabinet hardware if you have the inclination.

We’ve got a DIY for this right here on Apartment Therapy.

Ok, so these rope drawers pulls from One Kings Lane might require a little drilling — but we happen to think it’s totally worth it.
