We’ve seen penny tile floors before, but never anything like this. It turns out you can create some pretty incredible patterns by varying newer, shinier coins with more worn ones. This DIY penny floor is from Pretty Purple Door; you can see more photos of its construction at Houzz. Apartment Therapy reader Amanda also did this in her bathroom, and created an incredibly helpful guide to making your own. You’ll need about $3 worth of coins per square foot.
