DIY Fruit Box Storage

Reusing and repurposing items is extremely important to us and it's actually really fun thinking of new ways to use old products. We buy a ton of fresh fruit in the spring and summer months and often times we're left with small containers that we can't think of anything to do with. Instead of just throwing them in the trash we came across an easy and creative reuse for them!

Design*Sponge posted this interesting reuse of fruit boxes as storage for well, just about anything that'll fit in them! Ashley suggested using them for vintage post card storage but we think they'd be perfect for in drawer jewelry storage, button storage, recipe card holders or office supply bins (paperclips, rubber bands, etc). The options are seriously endless and are completely up to you and your specific storage needs!

The great thing about these fruit boxes is that they come in so many different colors and materials. Depending on the store or farmers market you can get lucky with kelly green plastic boxes or recycled paper boxes! So, fill them up with something special and wrap them with a pretty bow and give this creative reuse as a gift!

What do you do with old fruit boxes?
