One of our biggest pet peeves is remote controls. We like having them hidden away until we actually need to use them, but — hiding them away can be a chore. While shooting house tours for Apartment Therapy we've noticed that other people have the same issue.
We came across this DIY IKEA hack and thought it was a pretty genius solution to the problem. Many of us have coffee tables sans drawers and that can be problematic for those of us who enjoy keeping everything tucked away in its own little space.
This DIY IKEA hack shows the Trofast storage box and Svanbo coffee table, but it can obviously be done on any coffee table. It's such a simple, no fuss hack that if we actually owned a coffee table — we'd be doing this today. Besides the storage capability of this hack, we love that you wouldn't otherwise know that the drawer was there. It's the perfect space for controllers, phone chargers and any other tech you have in your living room!
