There's no end in sight for washi tape projects you can do around the house. And why would there be? Washi tape is easy, pretty, removable, and repositionable, making it a DIY perfect for even the clumsiest of crafters. Here, gold washi tape glams up black column candles for an elegant tabletop.

There's not much to this DIY — simply cut, stick, and press the tape onto the candle, experimenting with different designs. You can even try gold tape on white candles, white tape on red candles, striped tape on solid candles... If you're the type that just likes to decorate with candles (without actually burning them), you can even change out the tape when you tire of the design (or change to match the season!).

In case you're wondering about setting your house on fire, Jenny, the blogger from Julep, suggests placing your designs only on the lower half of the candle, so the tape doesn't come in contact with flame. And of course, never leave a burning candle unattended.
