Talk about some serious DIY initiative! Inspired by mosaics by travels to southern Spain and Morroco, this gorgeous Moorish-style lamp was handmade with plywood and a hacksaw. The detail in this lamp looks so well-done you'd swear is was done with a lasercutter.

This great instructable created by stregoi, is a step-by-step guide to creating this beautiful lamp. You can even do it out of cardstock or cardboard. If you have access to a lasercutter, you'll greatly reduce your construction time.

Materials (if made with thick paper):
• sheets of paper
• scissors or xacto
• glue or brads (at least 288)

Materials (if made with plywood):
• sheets of plywood (less than 3mm thick)
• small saw or lasercutter
• brads (at least 288)

and, of course, the patterns from Instructables.
