5 Bold & Easy DIY Ideas for Waterproof Outdoor Art

Outdoor art puts the final finishing touch on your backyard or patio. These DIY projects and ideas add a welcome burst of color and style to bare exterior walls, and their waterproof ways make them impervious to wind and rain.

Nalle’s House created this hanging banner using waterproof Marimekko laminated cotton. She says the project is super easy and took her no time at all.

Bethany of Dwellings by Devore has made a couple of outdoor art projects using a sheet of plywood and some paint. She seals it with a coat of poly to make it waterproof after she’s done. This earlier art project is cute and colorful too.

Oh Dear Drea printed photos of Moroccan tiles onto aluminum circles then hung them on her exterior wall. They are kinda like a collection of decorative plates, but larger and waterproof.

Decorative painter Carol of Paint It used a stencil to paint this large graphic image on the side of her concrete wall. After a year she reports that it still looks vibrant and colorful.
