Repurposing pallets is something of a cottage industry these days; all you need to do is open your Pinterest feed to see myriad ideas both for reusing them and acquiring them. This project, though, is by far the most aesthetically pleasing one I've seen.
Blogger Rianne Bakker from Haba's House of Holland lives in The Netherlands, natch. She and her husband created this little corner in their living room for their son to use as a play space. Using an old ladder, they created a shelving area to store toys, but the centerpiece of this nook is the pallet skyline. You can download Rianne's tutorial in English and get all the patterns for the houses. The project is easily customized so you can fit it in any size space and include whatever type of buildings you like.
