DIY Paper Starburst Pendant Lamp

When I look at this lamp, I see a cross between a monochromatic sea urchin and a wild anime haircut. I love the glowing quality of the light and undulating shadows it creates. Can you imagine making this yourself? Well, you can...with scraps of paper and a healthy dose of patience. If you're on the East Coast, maybe this is the perfect indoor activity to keep your mind off the weather this weekend.

Allison from the 3 Rs Blog (Reduce, Reuse, Redecorate) took on the project after spying it on Design*Sponge. She had a leftover roll of vellum from college and thought it would be perfect for this light. She was right!

She said it took longer than expected, but I'll agree with her summation that it was well worth it. It's lovely and definitely one-of-a-kind!
