Do You Decorate Your Tech For Holidays?

Us small, cool dwellers living in studio apartments need to take any chance we can get to decorate and get in spirit for the holidays (it's the only way psyche yourself up for the throes of shoppers at the mall). You might not have room for a tree, but you can definitely string some garland, hang your stocking and—why not?—put a modern-cool Christmas case on your iPhone.

We know, Christmas decorations on your phone sounds like some kind of hell with Nutcracker ring tones and bedazzled phone antenna charms.

But if you take the same approach as you do to holiday decorations inside your home—that is, tasteful, modern and fun—adding a little bit of Christmas (Or Halloween! Or 4th of July!) cheer to your mobile devices can make you feel like your desk-away-from-home feel just as cozy as your living room.

Here are some ways to decorate your mobile tech:

  • Grab a case or skin for your phone, netbook, tablet or laptop. Skin it has a bunch of great designs for nearly any holiday and any device. But we're probably going to grab one of these cases: The cases in the first pic are from Speck, but we're loving this scribbled Christmas design from Zazzle.
  • Set a festive wallpaper design. If Christmas shopping has you over-budget for December, go cheap with the mobile decorations and use Google Images and Flickr to search for wallpaper for your phone or notebook. We also love the modern-minimalist holiday designs at Simple Desktops (especially that camper design above!). And heck, these Jonathan Adler mobile wallpapers look a little Christmas-y too, non?
