Do You Use Exchange Stores? Melbourne

We're a big fan of our local Fabric Exchange. Not only do they have an amazing range of vintage and rare fabrics but you can also earn some extra money for any excess fabric you have lying around. You take in your fabric, the Fabric Exchange catalogue it, sell it, take a reasonable commission and mail you a cheque [which probably ends up being spent on more fabric!]. So when we saw The Curtin Exchange today we were very excited by the window furnishing potential!

After buying our house we spent a lot of time shopping around for some affordable, attractive, quality curtains and ended up finding much better curtains than what we were looking for at a garage sale for $35. But had we come across the The Curtin Exchange earlier we would have used them for sure. Trading in our old curtains and using the payment for them to buy curtains which were more our style just makes sense.

With the rise in the cost of living we can see these type of exchange stores continuing to become more and more popular. What exchange stores are located near you? Have you ever used them to buy or sell?
