Does Your Pet Have a "Spot?"

Does Your Pet Have a "Spot?"

I am a big fan of pets in any space that I photograph. In fact, I have been known to force family pets (some willing, some unwilling) to pose for me in my Apartment Therapy House Tours. Anyone who has a special furry friend knows that a photo of your home isn't complete without their rompy, adorable presence.

I'm a big fan of Desire to Inspire's Monday Pets on Furniture, and it got me thinking — does your pet have a "spot?" These photos of pets are sometimes taken with them seated on some very expensive and very stylish furniture. I always wonder—did they choose this spot for their own?

My chihuahua, Grady, has chosen the far side of the couch nearest the kitchen (easy access to anyone opening the refrigerator) as her domain, atop a heating pad which must always be in the "on" position. This is only ever a problem when guests come over, and we move her heating pad to a much lesser location (in her opinion).

So, what do you think? Does your pet have a spot? Did you create it for them, or did they choose? Is it a piece of furniture that you would rather they keep their little paws off? Or do you love to snuggle with them on the couch at night? We'd love to hear your stories! Leave them for us in the comment below.
