This Beagle-Shaped Airbnb Is Puptastic

Celebrating National Dog Day on August 26 will no doubt include all sorts of canine-related activities—from ball tossing to extra belly rubs—but our beloved four-legged friends aren’t the only ones encouraged to kick back and enjoy the festivities in style. For humans hoping to get in on the doggo-themed action, this beagle-shaped bed and breakfast on Airbnb seems like the ideal place to do so. 

Affectionally referred to as “Sweet Willy” by the local Cottonwood, Idaho residents, the Dog Bark Park Inn B&B is currently listed on the popular online rental platform starting at $132 per night. The 30-foot-tall structure is shaped like a large, red collar-wearing beagle joined by a puppy companion and fire hydrant.

In addition to enjoying the eye-catching exterior of the canine-inspired pad, guests are also invited unwind inside the two-bedroom, one-bath home and all of its accompanying dog-themed books, games, carvings and puzzles. According to the listing, a stay in the giant dog also includes “light snacking foods and in-the-dog breakfast.” Wi-Fi is also included if needed. 

If your thirst for all things dogs remains unquenched after spending the night in the beagle B&B, there’s a Dog Bark Park visitor center and gift shop, which is open year-round. It contains a cornucopia of canine keepsakes, including chainsaw carvings created by artist Dennis Sullivan and Frances Conklin. Guests can also get their daily dose of doggie activities by visiting the artist’s studio and outdoor gallery featuring more larger-than-life dogs. 

For the furry companions that are sure to enjoy the grounds, there are also canyons, prairie fields and gardens in the area that are perfect for romping, frolicking or lounging around. Throughout the spring and fall, the nearby Hells Canyon Gorge of the Snake River can be explored via jet boat tours.
