It’s not easy being a television fan these days. Thoroughly developed and addictive series are becoming more of the standard and less of the exception. Streaming platforms are making it easier than ever to binge-watch whatever you want, whenever you want. And yet, there are only so many hours we can spend lounging around and watching TV…right? (Just trying to do the time management math here).

With all of that said, certain shows are worthy of our obsession, and most of us can agree that “Downton Abbey” is one of those upper-tier television series—which is why were thrilled with the news that we’ll soon be able to get our fix through a feature length film.

Expect the film to pick up where the series left off in 1927. From the trailer that dropped this week, we know that a visit from King George V and Queen Mary will be a focal point of the movie as well as the overarching theme of changing times. According to cast members who’ve spoken about it, the film is supposed to be a hit, just like the show but with more vibrancy.

If you’re as eager as we are to check out the latest (and unexpected) “Downton Abbey” chronicle, jot down the date September 20 when the film will premiere in North America. Until then, hang in there: it’s not as far off as it seems.
