Recently on Apartment Therapy, our own Katie Steuernagle shared a fun tutorial on transforming a floor lamp with discarded soda pop bottles. Since then we've had lamps on the brain, so it was only natural to fall in love with this similar transformation made with Christmas ornaments!
Brooke of All Things Thrifty has a knack for repurposing the old and not being afraid to try something new when it comes to crafting and diy. Take this lamp for instance. What used to be a traditional gold floor lamp is now something fun and bubbly thanks to some outside-the-box thinking.
She enlisted the help of a hole saw (the bit on the drill pictured above) to allow each plastic ornament to slide down the pole. The entire thing was painted and is now an amazing accessory in her home. It's a fun project that will have you hoarding after holiday ornament clearance (with actual purpose this time), to make one for yourself!
