In the past few years our travel has increased by about, well, 100%! It seems like we're always packing our bags and heading somewhere &mdash whether it's just a two hour drive south to DC for the weekend or a week trip to visit parents in Florida. While we're gone, we frequently wonder about what's going on in and around our home and think how great it would be if we could actually see the happenings.

About five months ago we took in a lone stray kitten. Speed head to now and we have a five month old kitten who is more attention hungry than anyone or anything I have ever known. We feel really, really terrible when we're away and we have a pet sitter that feeds him while we're away. Problem is, we've come home twice and there hasn't been any food in his bowls. We end up arguing about it because I think the pet sitter isn't coming as often as we ask, and my boyfriend argues that I'm over reacting and our kitten is fine.

DropCam, makers of wireless webcams now offers the the DropCam app. The app would help us get to the source of the problem. Either I'm overreacting or the pet sitter really isn't coming as often as they say. We would also be able to see what our kitten is getting into, and make sure there aren't any unexpected visitors while we're away.

It works like this: either use your current account (or if you're a new user, create an account) and log into the DropCam app. You can then securely and remotely view your webcams right on your iPhone. If you are not a user, you can view several of the publicly available cams.

The DropCam webcams cost $199 a piece, but, for the security and peace of mind &mdash we think it's worth it (if you have the extra money, of course).
