Dry Erase Wall Clock

Dry Erase Wall Clock

Young kids can have a hard time understanding the concepts of time and waiting much less how to tell time on a clock. How many times have you heard, "how long until X?" or "when are we going to Y?" [insert whiny voices]. This dry erase wall clock is meant to help adults jot down time-sensitive memos to themselves, but we've doctored the image to show how it could be used to help kids (maybe) wait more patiently.

For sale at the MoMa Store for $135 - ouch - this seems like a good candidate for a diy project using a clock kit and a cheapo dry erase board or IdeaPaint.

What strategies do you use for helping your kids understand waiting?
