Dust Mop Slippers

Dust Mop Slippers

Feb 6, 2008

Oh, we just don't know about this...

The Dust Mop Slipper appeals to our lazy side but is this really considered cleaning? We're not sure that shuffling down the hallway with the great dust bowl swirling up behind us makes our floors any cleaner.

Yet there are plenty of products just like this...

Like the Swiffer technology these house shoes employ dust-grabbing fibers to pick up household dust. But they're not as wasteful as the disposable Swiffer cloths because the slippers are easily washable, either with the laundry or in a dishwasher (ew). They claim that the biggest benefit is that the slippers eliminate bending and stooping to pick up debris but...wouldn't a lightweight, hand-held vacuum be better?

If you want to give them a shot (or a stroll, rather), here's our Amazon round-up:

  • Plaid Dust Mop Slippers by Jobar, $4.99
  • Pink or Green Slipper Genie by Evriholder, $9.99
  • Blue Dust Mop Slippers by Get Organized, $7.98
