Dutch Campus Beautifully Integrates Computers Within Furniture

Wow. When we were in college, libraries, study rooms, and classrooms featured the bare minimum when it came to décor. Just some run of the mill chairs and desks. That's about it. If we had the above to work in we probably would have done a heck of a lot more studying.

Found at the Culture Campus at Vleuterweide in the Netherlands, this space features benches, some of which look like were designed for students working in wheelchairs, with built in computers. The space was designed by Dutch design studio, AEQUO. We love how the desktop towers are totally hidden within the unprocessed oak tapis. Having the monitors tucked away within the furniture also helps keep focus on the beautiful design rather than the technology within. One problem we have is, we wonder if those screens are just too tiny. Are we just spoiled by our large 24-inch monitor?
