DwellStudio Takes on Outside Investor, Brand Sense

We just heard yesterday evening that DwellStudio has taken on an outside investor after many years of going it alone. With an extremely busy year behind them - book, furniture line and catalog - this surely signals even bigger plans ahead.

The investor, Brand Sense, is particularly experienced in growing brands into bigger, stand-alone entities, and the news clearly signals the opening of a retail store(s) as well as "licensing, international and business development initiatives." Isn't interesting to see who is emerging out of the ashes of the recession? The race is definitely on.

"The DwellStudio business is as strong as it has ever been and, with the capital and expertise being brought to bear by BSP, we believe we are in an incredible position to continue all of our positive momentum," said Young, DwellStudio's CEO. "This is a great step for our brand and we are very excited about the many new initiatives we already have in progress."
