Desktop computers have evolved and come a long way over the past 5 years. Gone are the days of the bulky towers that take up coveted foot space and oversized monitors scratching up the wall behind them. Desktops are becoming sleeker and we're loving every minute of it. Here are some ideas how to maximize the utility of your desktop setup while minimizing the footprint in your home office.

A few weeks ago, Anthony rounded up some amazing and Epic HiFi Desktop Systems. He focused on the actual setup of each desk, but we found a really unique desktop setup. We love the crazy and colorful back lighting and how dramatic the setup looks.

Range once asked Unplggd readers: Are Desktop Computers Obsolete? and we're not so sure they are! We've come across plenty of inspirational photos of great desktops that just prove that the desktop is going to stick around.

Brian's Designerly Desktop is a prime example that the desktop is here to stay. With smaller, sleeker models being released each year — it's no longer problematic to own a desktop. Gone are the days of 50lbs monitors eating up 90% of our desk space!
