Looking For A Prime Day Splurge? Our Favorite Vacuum Is On Sale For A Few More Hours
What is it about good vacuums get people all starry-eyed? There’s just something about really clean floors that make every home a bit better. And appliances that make it easier (even, dare we say, exciting) to get the job done tend to get people fired up.
People can argue til the cows come home about their favorite vacuum, but it can be hard to beat Dyson for the power and maneuverability. Take, for example, the V8 Absolute Cordless stick vacuum, currently on sale for Prime Day. An editor pick from our AT50 home essentials, the V8 provides up to 40 minutes of continual cleaning action. Oh, and it looks and feels really cool, too.
Like all Dyson stick models, this features cord-free cleaning with the option to switch to hand-held as needed. The bin is also designed for easy release.
So what makes the V8 worth the investment? You can still snag older models, like the V7, on Amazon, but there are some key differences. The V8 is better at rugs, especially thicker pile. In “max” mode, it basically has the ability to deep-clean carpets. Other new features include a crevice tool and a soft dusting brush. It even features a HEPA filter for allergens. The V8 also offers a slightly longer charge time than previous models.
Before you click buy, we do have to mention that there’s a newer, fancier model on the market: The V10. (Like Apple with the iPhone, Dyson opted to skip V9.) However, at a whopping $700, it makes the even the Absolute V8 look cheap. The V8, for our money, offers a middle option: lots of fun bells and whistles, at almost half the price of the next model–at least for the remainder of Prime Day.
