Tell us a little (or a lot) about your home and the people who live there: My wife and I,(retiree) live in a 1931 pre-war building. Our apartment is one of the few apartment with its original crown moulding. We also love earth tone colors. Through the art and sculptures in our apartment, you will get a good sense of our personality, taste, and style.

What is your favorite room and why? My music studio. (It once was spare bedroom.) I designed it to be comfortable and inviting, which makes it really enjoyable to write and record my music.

The den is large enough to have a pool table, a hammock, and also an area where you can just read a book and listen to music.

What’s the last thing you bought (or found!) for your home? A beautiful stained glass art work from my wife’s cousin (stained glass artist). We also have three beautiful artworks from artist Amy F. Levine, which can best be described as sculptural paintings. Ms. Levine’s work has been featured in many group shows at galleries and cultural centers.

Any advice for creating a home you love? You don’t have to spend a lot of money to design your home. With a modest budget, you can create a welcoming space that is a reflection of who you are. There also isn’t a one-sized fits all formula to creating a home you love. By just doing simple things, you will feel happier in your home and truly enjoy being there.
