Easidream: Making Your Crib More Womb-Like

The Easidream is a new bit of technology aimed at getting your little ones to sleep sooner. There's a glowing sheep with a heartbeat and an air mattress that moves. Now that we think of it, it kind of looks like a day at sea — white noise and motion sickness...

"It's a revolutionary baby sleep aid, a soothing system that helps ease the transition from womb to world. It can be used from birth in almost any cot and helps your baby establish a healthy sleep pattern by closely mimicking certain sensations from the womb and recreating these within the cot. This 'womb experience' helps trigger a calming reflex in your baby so reducing crying time and inducing quality sleep." -Easidream Website

Perhaps the best way to describe the Easidream, isn't with words, it's with pictures. Check out the video below to see how this system has the ability to lull your little ones to sleep with a little help from technology.

Although this is probably as close as you can get to the womb, the unit retails for close to $400(US) and somehow that seems like a pretty hefty pricetag on your sleep. Although after 3 nights in a row without more than an hour of shut eye, we'd do just about anything!
