America is a great big place. From one coast to another, you’ll see differences in climate, cuisine and, yes, design. It’s not always easy to articulate the differences between west coast and east coast decorating (though we can try: polished Atlantic-adjacent spaces tend to give at least a knowing nod to what’s traditional, while laid-back left coast homes like to embrace the rustic southwestern desert surround), but it’s safe to say, “You’ll know it when you see it.”
