East Fork Just Brought Back One of Their Most Popular Original Glazes — but Just for a Limited Time
We could all use a little good news to get through the doldrums of winter, and happily, one of our favorite pottery makers is delivering. East Fork, beloved by Kitchn editors and readers, is re-releasing one if its popular glazes for a very limited run. Here’s what you need to know.
The gorgeous colorway in question, Utah, is a desert-inspired tan. East Fork describes it as a “soft, rusty, lambent orange,” that evokes glowing bonfires and dusty sunsets. (Hello, dream vacation.) Utah will be available on their website beginning today, but for a very limited 2-month run. In other words: You’d better act fast!
If you’re an East Fork fan, you probably already know that their color launches — and relaunches — sell out fast. So while Utah is technically available through mid-April, you’re going to want to act fast if you’ve got your heart on this beloved hue. Considering Utah was retired for the last few years and it’s an infinitely complementary neutral shade, we’d be shocked if this didn’t fly off the virtual shelves.
Like all of East Fork’s colorways, Utah will be available in all of the standard pieces, such as a perfectly oversized mug and the three-piece dinner set that includes two plates and a small bowl. Each item is effortlessly casual, like their everyday bowl (you’ll use it for everything).
One of the things we like best about this quirky pottery company is that it’s easy to mix and match their items and colors. There’s no need to spend hundreds of dollars on a matching set you’ll grow tired of in a few weeks. Instead, you can shop a la carte and grow your collection slowly. And while every color glaze is truly unique, they’re all complementary. That said, you really can’t go wrong with Utah. And since there’s no telling when it will return, it’s a good idea to stock up while you can!
