Rubber flooring is great for its resilience, durability, cushion and ease of maintenance. ECOsurfaces has made rubber flooring even better by making it out of recycled tires and recycled EPDM. ECOsurfaces come in a variety of shapes, colors, sizes and styles, and are suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
ECOsurfaces is the largest user of scrap tire rubber in the U.S., according the company, converting over 80 million pounds of tires annually into recycled rubber flooring. Even the production is green by combining the scrap tile and EPDM in a water-based polymer, minimizing the overall water use and reusing the in-line scraps. The product also contains no PVC or formaldehyde.
ECOsurfaces are available in over a dozen styles in rolls or tile installation. Our favorite ECOsurface product is the ECOmax line of modular tiles (shown above). They are great for decks, patios and rooftops. The tiles are 'footed' for slip resistance and enhanced drainage. Maintenance is really easy — just wash off with a hose and that's it.
