So we're minding our own business, munching on the one facet of our dietary habits that hasn't been completely changed yet by our green ideals: dark chocolate. And that's when we happened upon the first episode of EcoTrip.

Not that we needed another reason to scrutinize each of our purchases, but this show did bring a lot of light to why some common household things (from t-shirts to dark chocolate) need to be really thought about. It also helped us answer when one prodding family member asked, "Why do you care if your t-shirt is organic?"

Plus, host David de Rothschild delivers a lot of info in a manageable way. The show's tagline is, "Discover the real cost of living," and it definitely makes one think twice. Or, in our case, thrice.

We'd recommend it (we watch it streaming on Netflix as we're still rockin' the no-TV lifestyle), or at least checking out the website.
