Edible Indoor Miniature Garden

Edible Indoor Miniature Garden

Blame it on the arrival of spring, but we've got gardening on the mind. We've been growing some new herbs, vegetables, and plants both on our doorway stoop in planters, and also in a small front garden which we're allowed to do as we see fit (more about the amazing heirloom tomato plants from Windowbox.com later). We're definitely excited in helping spring get sprung, getting our green thumbs involved with some dirty action of the organic sort.

But I've also lived in an apartment where there was nary a square foot of outdoor space to grow anything, and I had to settle gardening indoors using a small IKEA greenhouse and whatever sunlight I could harvest from east facing windows. I wouldn't have been nearly so disappointed with my predicament back then if I had one of these Edible Indoor Miniature Garden. In just three days after "planting", you'll be able to admire and graze on your own garden of clover, cress, lettuce and mustard...a complete salad bar waiting to be grown! Earth Day is coming up, so this might make for a perfect gift for your favourite green loving friend (or just yourself).
