Design: El Diablo - Audiowood Turntable
Materials: Reclaimed redwood, plant-based resin, lead-free brass, ebonized maple, aluminum
Designer: Joel Scilley

"El Diablo is the first complete turntable which utilizes my new Audiowood platter: a plant-based resin upper platter with either lead-free brass pods, or wooden pods that are filled with non-toxic shot and a natural damping resin."

"The idea here is that this platter can be used to make custom turntables to a client's specifications. Pods can be made of almost any wood, to contrast or match wooden bases, and then combined with a tonearm and motor drive for a totally one-of-a-kind eye-catching turntable.

As a manufacturer and retailer, I'm focused on sustainable designs that produce great music. El Diablo, as the first of its kind, combines organic materials and precision manufacturing in a precise machine that doesn't look like a machine.

Prices for custom turntables with the Audiowood platter start at $2500."
