Electroluminescent Electronic Paper and Carbon Fiber Light
With a shape that reminds us of some of the pappardelle pasta we just had a few nights ago, designer Mark Tremonto's Carbon 451 Lamp is a dramatic expression of shape and illumination only conceivable now with the development of electroluminescent electronic paper and the weight-saving quality of carbon fiber...
The light is especially dramatic spilling down onto a stairway landing, both accentuating the height of the area and also illuminating what is often a dark section of a public (or private) space. We hope to see more unusually shaped lighting like Mark Tremonto's Carbon 451 Lamp with the development of electroluminescent electronic paper.
