Eliot's "Dutch Cupboard" Crib

Eliot's "Dutch Cupboard" Crib

Milo's room had plenty of space for a toddler... until Eliot came along. In order to maximize the space in this room for two boys, parents Miranda and Dave first considered building a toddler bed into the closet nook. After talking with a friend, they did an about-face and decided putting the baby in the closet made much more sense.

Luckily Dave is a brilliant carpenter and was able to custom build a crib into this previous closet space. We love how they didn't lose all the storage by inserting under-the-crib built-in boxes, and those mint stripes peaking out from the back wall help to claim the area all its own.

Check out step-by-step plans of this venture on Miranda's blog One Little Minute. Also, be sure not to miss the Nume-Inspired Toddler Bed dad created for brother Milo.
