What I Love About My Small Home:
When I first saw how much light this studio received, I knew I wanted to keep a clean and open space to utilize all the sunshine. There is a curtain divider to create a little privacy when desired. The walnut book case is designed by me and hand cut by my father, we do a lot of collaborative furniture projects for fun. The large teak dining table is refurbished with new legs. It’s a desk most of the time, but when guests come over, it’s moved to the center of the room and turned into a table for 8! Travel and art mean a lot to me, so a lot of the art on the wall are from my travels or made during my time in the paper or letterpress studio. Having the frames against the wall above my bed makes it easy to curate.
Three of My Best Tips and Tricks for Creating a Successful Small Space::
1: Try a portable divider such as curtains. This helps create privacy, but gives you the option to open up the room.

2: Use light paint colors to open up the room.

3: Keep the space open, never limit access to furniture via one path.
