Summers are chock-full of backyard parties, and we're always looking into ambient lighting options to set the mood for these warm weather festivities. Energizer's Edge collection of lights includes an Accent Light that is incredibly simple and runs on LEDs that never need replacing.

I've still yet to pick out the perfect fairy lights for my balcony, so I decided to first test the Accent Light outside. No setup was required. I just unboxed the light and found a good spot to place it. The cord is 66 inches but wasn't long enough to extend from my balcony table to the outlet. Instead I tested the light out on a small side table I have near the plants.

The Accent Light is ready to go after being plugged in — no batteries are required. There are no buttons or switches; instead the light is turned on based on touch. The bases of the panels are touch-sensored so you can turn the light on and off by touching the base. You can also adjust the dimness of the light to create a nice ambient effect by holding onto the base until it reaches your desired brightness.

The Accent Light works well both indoors and out. The rubber padding keeps the light secure on all surfaces. We like the Small Accent Light because it doesn't take away from the décor of a room and isn't too invasive, but provides a nice touch to the atmosphere.

Although you can't purchase the Accent Light on Energizer's website yet, it is available on Amazon.
