With the new year beginning and the days getting longer, I got inspired to tackle one of the bigger projects that’s been on my to-do list for over a year: our master closet.

Our master closet is unique in the fact that we have to walk through it in order to get to our master bathroom. There is no door on it of any sort, and I can see directly into from my bed. The disheveled and unorganized mess of all our clothes and falling-apart hardware had been staring me in the face for over a year and it was finally time to take charge and change things up!

We ripped out all the shoddy hardware/warped dowels and yellow striped wallpaper that the previous owners had installed before us to start with a fresh slate. I decided I wanted a modern and clean look, so for our new clothes hanging apparatus we decided to go with galvanized metal pipe. It was super easy to put together and took less than an hour to get everything up and ready to go!

After some fresh paint, new hanging rods, and a little bit of organization and personal touches, our master closet is now a personal retreat and oh-so-much better! I love how the galvanized pipes and the wooden hangers make our closet feel like a little boutique – it’s like going out shopping whenever I want to get dressed!
