How well do you know your own city? At any given time can you locate the nearest parking facility? How about bathrooms, gas station, or ATM kiosks? This app roundup focuses on honing in on important services around town, especially helpful  when you've got to navigate a new part of town (or out of town!).

Left: GasBuddy - Right: Work+

Need to find gas station before you cross beyond the point of no return? Gas Buddy is an app any and all drivers should have, just in case, and also for keeping tabs on the cheapest sellers nearby. A large community of users provide feedback about prices all across town, wherever your town may be (with promises of rewards in return for such diligence), and the app proves handy for finding the closest station when you find yourself inching toward "E" for empty. Free

When you need wi-fi, a cup of joe, a bathroom, or any combination of the aforementioned, Work+ can answer the call. Built for urban dwellers looking for public places to work on their laptops, Work+ can help find recommended coffee shops with ambience, accessibility, and most importantly, wi-fi and bathrooms. I’ve used it to discover some new and interesting eateries to set my iPad down and highly recommend it. Free

Left: Toilet / Bathroom Finder - Right: Parker

Toilet / Bathroom Finder
If you were intrigued by George Costanzas iToilet idea, you'll be pleased to know his idea came to fruition. Boasting the biggest database of bathroom locations globally (60,000 worldwide) you can find the closest toilet via GPS and get some relief whenever and wherever you need it. Free

Parker by Streetline
When it's time to find the nearest parking spot, Streetlines Parker app can ride shotgun. Find the nearest parking spot (garage or lot options), check rates per hour, set a marker to return back to your car, and even set a timer for when the meter will expire so you won't return back to a parking ticket.  Free

Left: ATM Hunter - Right: Yellow Pages

ATM Hunter
When it comes to money, personally, I try to go as paperless as possible. But there are still places and times when a credit or debit card won't be accepted. When you need cold hard cash, ATM Hunter will pinpoint the nearest machine to dispense your hard earned cash. ATM Hunter provides information such as location and which bank it belongs to, so you can try to avoid any additional fees. Free

Yellow Pages
For ages Yellow Pages has been a staple as a business directory. They've evolved into the internet era with their very own app. I've found it handy on multiple occasions to find places to eat and their corresponding phone numbers and websites for further information. Whether you need a gas station, parking lot, bank, fast food, or any other business,  "let your fingers do the walking" with a swipe and tap. Free
