This Clear Acrylic Puzzle Is Here to Keep You Busy from Now Until Forever
In the event that your brain isn’t already frazzled to pieces by the barrage of nerve-racking current events, there’s a clear jigsaw puzzle waiting to send your neurons into a tizzy. After briefly examining this unique jigsaw, we’ve decided that anyone who attempts to assemble it must be either a) glutton for punishment or b) a die-hard dissectologist. Either way, this puzzle is bound to test your problem-solving skill set.
The transparent jigsaw puzzle is the creation of Etsy store owner LittleFlowerPotShop. Aptly named the Puzzle Impossible ($16.99 and up), the jigsaw is handmade from clear cast acrylic. There’s no mistaking that this puzzle isn’t meant to be a breeze, as is made clear (no pun intended) by the product description.
In case you didn’t get it, the puzzle’s really hard. For starters, there’s no way to tell which side of each puzzle piece faces up. None of the pieces repeat and each jigsaw puzzle only has a single correct solution. Fortunately, though, there are four separate puzzles with various levels of difficulty that allow players to start out slow instead of heading straight for the more advanced level. If you want to start off relatively easy, there’s a nine-piece, 3 x 3” version that’s recommended for ages 10 and up. The 25-piece, 5.75 x 5.75″ set kicks the intensity up a notch with smaller pieces and more tricks. The 49-piece puzzle fits into the same square size as the 25-piece, which means even smaller pieces and the increased likelihood of puzzle-induced confusion. Finally, the description of the 12 x 12, 144-piece puzzle reads like an invitation to face off against this jigsaw and hope to complete it before your brain implodes.
“We really didn’t think anyone would rise to the challenge,” the summary reads. “No hints here, just DAYS of fun assembling them.”
