This David Bowie-Inspired Cat Bed Totally Rocks

We all know David Bowie was a legendary musician and actor, but did you know he was also a loving cat parent? That’s why the “Cat People” singer-songwriter would have been elated to learn that he has inspired a felt cat cave that resembles his alter ego, Aladdin Sane.

The cat cave features an exterior in the shape of a feline’s head, complete with cute pointy ears, and adorned with Aladdin Sane’s iconic red and blue lightning bolt. It would make for a great addition to any music-themed room, but if you don’t have such a space in your home, the cave’s minimalist design and subtle colors make it unobtrusive in any setting.

Made from natural wool, the private nook provides a cozy area for your cat—and even small dogs—to curl up and take a nap (and maybe even listen to Bowie’s albums).

According to Vilnius, Lithuania-based artist Agnė Audėjienė, maker of the adorable cat cave, the piece is available in white or gray, but if you’d like a different color, you can put in a request. It also comes in different sizes, able to accommodate the biggest of cats.
