Fall Fashion Translated to Furniture

Fall Fashion Translated to Furniture

Fashion and furniture have more in common than you may think. Color trends, available materials and aesthetics affect artistic people of all fields, and the result is a thread echoed throughout design culture. While checking out New York fashion week, it occurred to me just how much some outfits and accessories remind me of classic pieces of furniture.

In some cases I prefer the furniture to wearing a particular look (some trends seem to blend better in a large room than on my body), but given the striking similarities, it's worth investigating your wardrobe for style ideas for your room and vice versa.

Top Row:

3. Fashionologie /NJ Modern
4.Oliver Peoples via The Man Repeller /New York Times
5. Fashionologie /Wholesale Modern Design

Botton Row:
6.Solestruck/West Elm
7.Youngjun Koo forThe Cut/Hive Modern
8. Fashionologie /A+R

What do you think? Are you similar in the way you dress yourself and your room?
