Is bigger better? When it comes to TV's that seems to be the mantra. In the last few years we have seen the price of 42" flat screen TV's drop and have that same price point filled by 52" TV's. In a year from now, the perceived norm will further increase and screen sizes will become even bigger. It looks like GE was a few steps ahead of the game back in 1978 though, and tried to speed up the natural evolution of TV by introducing the General Electric Widescreen 1000 projection TV.
The luxury of wood and a remote control to boot. All in a package that looked like it weighed the same as a small car.
