Still have some VHS tapes around the house? Why not turn them into some geeky gifts and decor? Upcycling old non-working tech is always a win in our book, so check out these 5 projects and start creating!

VHS Fun Times:

1) VHS Cassette Clock Follow Instructable user Lemonie's instructions and turn your old tape into a clock by using a quartz clock mechanism and LED.

2) VHS Cover Notebook: This Instructable by WhyIsThisOpen shows you how to turn your old VHS covers into spiral bound notebooks.
3) Glowing VHS USB Hub: Use your old tapes to create glowing USB hubs by following the directions provided by Instructables user HarryM.

4) VHS Player Toaster: Another project by Lemonie, this hack turns your VHS player into a toaster.

5) VHS Hard Drive: Although this image is not from a DIY project, but from Etsy seller CentennialMerchant, we do think that putting a hard drive into a VHS case enclosure is a great DIY project for those willing to undertake the challenge.
