Flickr Finds: iTunes Boombox

Ah, finally someone has found a good use for those LaCie ship-vent speakers we were so bonkers about last year. We had our doubts about its portability due to the flat-based design, but this setup by Flickr user htosaki certainly proves how easily it can turn a laptop into a portable iTunes boombox and letting the tunes fly. Pair it up with the bunch of goodies we rounded up last weekend and you've got yourself a perfect party complement for those incoming warm summer nights.

Of course, when not used for entertaining house guests, the LaCie's get their own desktop home with visualizations set to "amaze" on their own dedicated monitor.

The LaCie FireWire Speakers does not require batteries or an AC adapter and is powered entirely through Firewire. They also have a USB version, but there have been enough issues with them that we're simply going to pretend they don't exist.
