Like the time when we went ahead and tried to complement certain desk styles with the perfect laptop companion, the same type of associative thinking when it comes to picking the right lighting to match. While it seems most of us are on the fence when it comes to going the glass route, perhaps this industrious approach by Shinn may give a secondary viewpoint for your consideration...
Since Shinn works off a glass L-desk, he avoids the exposed wire issue by organizing them against the adjacent wall, away from prying eyes. Meanwhile, his wireless Wacom tablet sets beautifully on the isolated side of the glass L-desk, making it seem like an almost wireless station, despite being hardwired primary workstation.
On the adjacent wall behind the iMac is on a shelf with more camera gear than you can shake a stick at. And finally, along the back wall, you have a 24-inch HP z3100 photo printer that's just bursting with awesomeness. More of Shinn's work can be found on his photoblog.
