Floating Dining Room from Recycled Water Bottles

If there was more privacy, I love to live here. This fine green dining room in Vancouver floats thanks to 1,672 2-liter plastic bottles, which can be viewed through a window on the floor. Not only does the elegant dining room serve up great meals (thanks to local caterers), but it also increases awareness about the prevalence of plastic in our oceans.

The dining room was commissioned by School of Fish Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides curriculum and subject materials for sustainable seafood preparation and built by Goodweather Design.

Dinner in the dining room is catered by C Restaurant, serving up a nightly six-course sustainable seafood menu and is located (moored) at the False Creek Yacht Club. You can even view the bottles through a window in the floor:
