Do you ever see things in New York that make you feel like you're in a different city? This week I was at a great new bookstore on Prince near Mulberry called McNally Robinson and noticed the two-floor spread across the street.
Am I in New York, I thought to myself? Is this New Orleans? Paris? London? There's something different about this spread. And so, this week's flowerbox award goes to 53-55 Prince Street, a building that made me feel like I was somewhere else. Sometimes, in New York, that's reason enough to give an award.
The boxes on the facade of this building are teeming with young sunflower plants, and, good golly, are those pepper plants? Bravo Prince Street! This looks like the kind of planting that is only going to get better as the summer wares on.
Next time you need a book, skip Barnes & Noble (support the little guy!) and check out this other-wordly garden above your heads. skgr
