Interiors from Godard's Contempt

For Valentine's Day, we wanted to share one of our favorite apartments from a very sexy movie: Jean Luc Godard's Contempt. It might not be the most romantic film ever, but it's definitely hot...just look at those chairs! More below.

If you don't mind a little 1960s new wave ennui and a not-so-happy ending, it's a great Valentine's Day rental. In our book Bridget Bardot, modernist furniture, and a lot of sex appeal beats a romantic comedy any day. Plus, the shots from this apartment scene make brilliant use of the interior spaces. And if you're looking for more movies with incredible set design, check AT:LA's Top 10 Decor Inspiration Films.

Contempt is in French with English subtitles, made in 1963.
