Use Industrial Shelving In Children's Rooms

It's no secret by now that we're Costco shoppers. Upon a recent trip we noticed this large "garage" shelving unit and we thought, "Why would we put that in the garage when it would be the best kids storage unit ever?!" We're pretty sure it would hold toys, coloring books, art supplies and more; plus it's super sturdy

Although it might look a bit, how shall we say, industrial — we're pretty sure that this is a piece your children could have through their entire life and on into adult hood (or you could repurpose it later on as well). If you're not so into the all grey decor, the metal base unit could easily be painted with spray paint that's intended for metal (or be powder coated professionally) and the bins could be painted with the Krylon Fusion spray paint into whatever color best suits your decor.

If you're not into them holding toys, you could use the unit as a portable closet or dresser, allowing it to hold everything from diapering supplies to home office goods if your nursery shares a space with your computer. The retail price of this set is pictured above and for the longevity that the piece will provide, we don't think it's half bad! We weren't able to locate it online, but we're willing to bet they're at the store near you!
