Freehand Stripes: Bohemian Inspiration or Potential Mess?

Freehand Stripes: Bohemian Inspiration or Potential Mess?

I know from experience that painting stripes on a wall can be an overwhelming endeavor. Measuring, marking, taping, painting - it can be a long process. So when I came across this concept for freehand striping, I was intrigued.

I can honestly say, however, that I don't know how I feel about freehand stripes. On the one hand, it's a great way to get a stripe effect without all the work. On the other hand, the clean lines and practical perfection of measured stripes is part of the attraction.

Perhaps the key to using these imperfect stripes is how the rest of the room is decorated. I can see this working in a room that has a slightly bohemian vibe but not in a room that is completely put together or overly designed. Freehand stripes could also be a whimsical treatment for a kid's room.

What do you think of freehand stripes?
