What's happening this week in Chicago? Plenty! We've rounded up a few things to do, places to go and sales to check out...jump below for the list:

SOFA Chicago is on this weekend. Today, tomorrow and Sunday, the massive Sculptural Objects and Functional Art show will take place at Navy Pier.

The Red Tag Sale returns to The Merchandise Mart. Today and tomorrow, over 20 showrooms on floors 15,16,17 and 18, including Baker, Henredon and Niedermaier, will open their doors to the public. Admission is free and discounts are up to 75% off.

Tatine Candles is holding an Open Studio Sale this Saturday, November 8 from 12-5 at the Flat Iron building (1579 N. Milwaukee) in Wicker Park. Special holiday fragrances and festive containers will be available.

Leslie Hindman is holding a Marketplace Auction on November 9 and 10.

A big lighting sale is happening at Jonathan Adler. Through the 15th of November, all lighting is 15% off. The shop is at 676 N. Wabash.

Zella Brown is turning 2! To celebrate, it's 20% off the entire store this weekend, Nov. 8 & 9.

Next Thursday at DWR Tree Studios: Opening party for Rising from Ashes: Furniture from Lost Trees -this traveling exhibition features fine furniture built with salvaged ash lumber by local craftspersons. RSVP to tree(at)dwr(dot)com.
