Friedrich's Colorful Air Conditioners

Summer months bring summer heat waves. While we always hope you're all using passive cooling techniques, such as creating cross winds by opening up windows, we also know that in some parts of the country that's just not an option. If you're only choice to beat the heat is cranking up the A/C why not power on something with a punch of color.

Friedrich's offers a line of powerful air conditioners with interchangeable Skittles front panels. Rather than having to look at some boring beige or off white cooler, you can try to match your appliance with your décor. The Kühl offers seven panels -- from standard black to cotton candy pink. While the color palette isn't too exciting -- you'll still find bland whites and beiges -- even these hues look a bit more high end than your standard fare.

The Kühl comes with a satin silver front plate, which you can change with any of the company's other panels for an extra $50. The model features a seven-day programmable thermostat that allows for up to four setting changes per day. Despite being a stand alone product, the Kühl can be integrated to work with wall thermostats.

Kühl+ models offer both cooling and heating options so you don't have to pull that A/C out of the window once the seasons change. The Kühl line starts at $969.
